Studio Still life
I chose to photograph color as opposed to a specific topic; colors found in your daily life. These objects show a meaning of simplicity and happiness with the littlest things in life. I arranged these objects so that similar colors weren't next to each other which helps to unify the pictures. I placed the light directly in front of the objects that I photographed. which in turn created a shadow directly behind the objects. In my first photo of all miscellaneous items of different colors has a shallow depth of field with the foreground in focus while the second photo of miscellaneous items has a large depth of field withe everything in focus.

When I took these pictures, I had a theme of Christmas kept in mind. I photographed the decorations found around my house in celebration of Christmas. The objects were pre-arranged with none of the arrangement being done by me. There is a lot of light in all of these photos and shadow is not very present in any of these compositions. The light source I used was the overhead light in the designated room I was photographing in. these picture with two different subjects show the contrast between the real meaning of Christmas and the commercialized, modern version of Christmas.
